2011 Elizabeth Pinot Noir
91 Points from Beverage Tasting Institute
Our 2011 Elizabeth Pinot Noir is another “big” vintage -- a Pinot Noir for Cabernet lovers. With dark garnet color and aromas of strawberries, juicy pomegranate, and cherry cola, this wine pairs well with a variety of foods. Mouth-watering flavors of red raspberries, plums, wet stone and hints of fresh mushrooms are carried across the palate by fine oak tannins from our 100% French Oak. While the wine is delicious now, with the balance and structure, it will age well for 3-5 years.
91 points from the Beverage Testing Institute: "Dark ruby black color. Aromas and flavors of vanilla salt water taffy, chocolate, dark roasted nuts, beets, and cherry cobbler with a supple, fruity-yet-dry medium-to-full body and a tangy, spiced pear accented finish."
Sophisticated and graceful. Willful, yet fun. Elizabeth is the expression of Thomas’s devotion to and in honor of his mother, Elizabeth Baldacci.
